So, I had Stanley ask for mead because I believed from reading the "Preparing to Open" thread that there was none. Did I misread that?

Nope.. but in the staff only thread preparing for the opening night, Chay had managed to get some.. but there is a limited supply currently.

And there is no wrong or right here.. just role-playing smile

I think I see what happened. When Chay said "should have some this morning," I took Lem's response about not betting on pouring "a single cup" to mean he didn't think it would be delivered in time. On second read it's obvious that's not what he meant.

Anywayz... not trying to bust anyone's chops, just looking to build on the narrative as it's been developed so far.

I'd like for Stanley to have a noisy misunderstanding on the way to his room. For what I have in mind, I think Amy would be the best choice for him to accidentally bump into (fresh from the kitchen, bucket of water in hand), but it could work with anyone.

Things run freely here. Gms set the scene, then it is up to the players how they react. We don't engineer situations. Roll with what happens, see where it takes you. The unpredictability of the game is the most fun part of role-playing. grin

It seems like DragonLips is no longer posting.

I suggest that we wait for the next new player and a new thread if everyone feels they have bedded their characters in now. smile

I'm trying to figure out the standard grammar of posting. Third person appears obvious, but I'm seeing a mix of present tense and past tense. Does it matter?

I'm used to online RP where people usually do present tense, but this appears a more literary style?

I don't know that tense matters all that much. I tend to use past tense, but that's just my own preference.

I occasionally use present tense but, like J-J, I almost always post in past tense.

I usually use present as it tends to give me a better buy in to the character. smile Go with your preference!

Heh. I'll do present tense since I won't be the only one and it's what I'm used to!
